Also includes material pertaining to McElroy's support of Leonard Wood and later Warren G. Harding for the Republican presidential nomination in 1920. Correspondence (1922-1924) relates to the collections of Cleveland letters, now located in the Grover Cleveland papers, which McElroy assembled and later presented to the Library of Congress. Correspondents include Frances Folsom Cleveland, James Gibbons, Warren G. Harding, Arthur W. Page, George Haven Putnam, and Leonard Wood.
