Printer. Circassian originally named Teoona who was purchased from his Muslim parents to be raised as a Christian by a family of Scottish missionaries to the Caucasus region of Russia. He was baptized as John Abercrombie because his purchase was made by the Scottish physician, John Abercrombie (1780-1844).
