  <abstract>Four ALsS from Edwin Carr to his father Sidney Carr in Sharon Valley, Litchfield Co., Conn.  ALS (1861 August 3; Harpers Ferry, W. Va.) described trip from Conn. to Harpers Ferry; ALS (1861 September 1; Darnestown, Md.) discussed camp life, health conditions of soldiers, and being under the command of Gen. Nathaniel Prentiss Banks (letter is incomplete); ALS (1861 December 14; near Frederick, Md.) mentioned camp life and blankets sent by his mother; ALS (1861 December 21; Clear Springs, Md.) recounted a fight near Williamsport, Md. and the plans to march to Hancock, Md.  Also includes one ALS (1863 January 29) from an unidentified writer (J.H. Vasser?) to Mary E. Carr, mother of Edwin Carr, mentioning Will Frost of Amenia, N.Y., who died at Harpers Ferry.</abstract>
