Also includes manuscript of a speech he delivered at Oberlin College relating to the experiences of black soldiers and their families in the South during the Civil War, and a 1969 article by Walter Teller relating to Thomas Wentworth Higginson. Typed transcripts of parts of the journal and the speech are included.
