Includes drafts, galleys, and proofs of Ships in the Sky: the Story of the Great Dirigibles (1957); the Battle, the Story of the Bulge (1959, later reissued as Battle of the Bulge), a history the German offensive in the Ardennes region of Belgium, France, and Luxembourg towards the end of World War II; But Not in Shame: the Six Months after Pearl Harbor (1961), a study of the war in the Pacific; The Dillinger Days (1963), a study of gangsterism in the 1930s focusing on the Dillinger gang; The Flying Tigers (1963), the story of Claire Lee Chennault's World War II flying squadron serving in the Chinese Air Force (China. Kong jun. American Volunteer Group); and The Last 100 Days (1966), an account of the destruction of Nazi Germany and the fall of Berlin.</abstract>
  <abstract>Files for The Last 100 Days includes interviews in Europe, especially concerning such figures as Martin Bormann, Karl Dőnitz, Joseph Goebbels, Hermann Göring, Adolf Hitler, Albert Kesselring,  Hasso von Manteuffel, Otto Skorzeny, and Wernher Von Braun; files on Operation Sunrise, the surrender of Italy to the Allied forces; and the taking of the Remagen Bridge (Ludendorff-Brücke, Remagen, Germany); as well as correspondence; book drafts, proofs, and galleys; maps; photographs; and other papers.</abstract>
