Includes notes sent between Alexander and Gen. James Longstreet during the battle of Gettysburg; an invitation from Mary Randolph Custis Lee; map of the James River that belonged to Gen. Robert E. Lee; and typescript of Alexander's memoir of the Knoxville campaign, 1863-1865.
