Correspondence, lists, payroll records, personal papers, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, printed material, drawings of machinery and tools, photographs, and other papers chiefly documenting Benney's work as research superintendent at Thomas A. Edison's winter home in Fort Myers, Fla., chiefly while searching for a substitute for natural rubber. Scrapbooks contain notes written between Benney, Charles A. Edison, and Thomas A. Edison.
