ALS (1789 August 6) to Knox from his wife, Lucy Flucker Knox, concerning the debate in Congress over the location of the seat of the federal government; list (1792 June 4) sent to Noah Smith naming Vermont Revolutionary War pensioners, copy of a cover letter for a commission (1792 June 28), and an offer (1794 July 5) of a shipbuilding contract, all written by Knox as U.S. secretary of war; ALS (1796 February 21) to Winthrop Sargent pertaining chiefly to personal matters, and an account book (1796-1797).
