Also includes correspondence, speeches, articles, notes, photographs, and other papers of Shepherd relating chiefly to his work in compiling material for his Guide to the Materials for the History of the United States in Spanish Archives (1907) and to Latin American affairs. Correspondents include William Augustus Bowles; James Wilkinson; José Moñino y Redondo, conde de Floridablanca; Bernardo de Galvéz; and Esteban Rodríguez Miró.
