Includes correspondence with foreign merchants; Low's brother, Isaac Low (1735-1791); and Isaac Low's son, Isaac Low, a commissary-general in the British Army, pertaining to trade conditions, loyalist matters, progress of British-American relations, and the proceedings for recovery of property seized from Isaac Low during the Revolution. Correspondence of Mordecai Lewis & Company, merchants of Philadelphia, Pa., relates to events in Congress during the first session following the adoption of the Constitution and other matters.
