ALS (1785 December 7) to Matthew Griswold, photostat of an ALS (1786 March 30) to Patrick Henry, and ALS (1786 August 9) to John Lowell from Bowdoin, Boston, Mass., regarding trade issues before the Massachusetts General Court (legislature) and the interstate commerce convention to be held in Annapolis, Md.; and a message (1786 February 11) to the Massachusetts General Court signed by Bowdoin concerning a surveying expedition authorized by the U.S. Continental Congress to establish a boundary between Massachusetts and New York.
