"On the 25th June, 1853, a resolution was adopted by the Faculty of the Medical college at Richmond, in the following words: 'Resolved, that Doctors Johnson and Maupin be appointed a committee to consult with Messrs. A. A. Morson and G. N. Johnson, in reference to the legal rights of the Medical faculty, arising out of the connexion with Hampden Sidney college."
