Documents participation of the regiment during 1863 in campaigns in Chancellorsville, Va., Gettysburg, Pa., and Mine Run, Va., as well as deployment to New York, N.Y., during the Draft Riot in August and September 1863. Diary entries pertain chiefly to camp life, the weather, and news about the war. Includes a photocopy of the diary and a transcription of the diary by Gordon V. Bradshaw along with Bradshaw's research and notes.
